Bhaskar Updates: Talks between India and China in Beijing, for the first time after the Ladakh clash, sitting !
Delegates
from India and China held talks in Beijing on Wednesday. During this, proposals
to withdraw from the remaining places along the LAC in eastern Ladakh were
discussed, although no result came out. This is the first face-to-face
conversation between the two countries since July 2019. On 5 May 2020, there
was also a clash between the soldiers of the two countries in Ladakh.
In
Wednesday's talks, both sides agreed to hold the 18th round of military talks
at the earliest to achieve the objective as per existing bilateral agreements
and protocols. The Ministry of External Affairs of India gave this information.
South Korea has recorded the world's lowest fertility rate.

this, the average number of babies expected per South Korean woman's fertility
life will drop to 0.78 in 2022, from 0.81 a year earlier.
The campaigning for the Chinchwad Assembly bypoll in
Maharashtra has reached its peak. Shiv Sena's Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray
faction's city president Sachin Bhosale was beaten up in Ganesh Nagar during
the election campaign of Mahavikas Aghadi on Wednesday evening. During this he
was killed with a blade. He is undergoing treatment at Jupiter Hospital in
Chinchwad. During the campaign, unknown people came and started fighting.
CBI registers disproportionate assets case against former
Allahabad High Court judge SN Shukla and his wife. He has been booked for
allegedly amassing assets worth Rs 2.45 crore disproportionate to his known
sources of income. This is the second case of corruption against the former
judge.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Yadav's
statement has come in Shiv Sena's name and symbol controversy. Pawar targeted
the Election Commission in his statement. He said- Election Commission had
given a decision a few days ago. This is an example of how an institution can
be misused. We have never seen such a decision of the Election Commission.
Balasaheb Thackeray had said in his last days that after him Uddhav Thackeray
would be given the responsibility of Shiv Sena.
Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi has been appointed as the new
Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Raghuvanshi is the
Secretary-cum-Scientific Director of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission. The
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had recommended his name for the post
last month. His appointment will be considered from the date he takes charge.
He will retire on 28 February 2025.
